As a small, veteran-owned family breeder with years of experience, our enthusiasm for the MAS breed began with our first MAS, Dublin. His loyal, intelligent, goofy and loving disposition captured our hearts. Ever since, we've committed ourselves to raising healthy, happy and adorable TAS and MAS that families will cherish.  By adding one of our Northern Roots puppies to your family, you become a cherished member of ours!  

We are immensely proud of our meticulous breeding process, which begins with the careful selection of our breeding pairs and always includes complete genetic + health panel testing. The opportunity to interact with the puppies in our program and observe the development of their unique personalities is incredibly rewarding. We breed only Miniature Australian Shepherds (MAS) and Toy Australian Shepherds (TAS) that adhere to our stringent criteria for health, temperament, and physical conformation. Our TAS are nurtured in a loving environment, right underfoot, in our homes, and they receive consistent veterinary care, Early Scent Introduction (ESI), Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Puppy Culture method as well as ample socialization.

Each of our puppies exemplifies the commitment and affection we hold for this breed and our breeding program. Witnessing our puppies grow from birth and ultimately placing them into their permanent homes is an immensely fulfilling experience.  We hold our dogs in the highest regard, as they are not merely pets but cherished members of our family that live in our home, not outside or in kennels.
